The Monthly Meme #1 | Do I Know You From Somewhere?
Welcome to Pumpkin Hollow's first Monthly Meme! This month's edition is "Do I Know You From Somewhere?", a Handwaved-CR meme!
Participation is optional and very simple: just follow the steps below to get rolling!
1) Post a top-level from your character's account, detailing the places that they're most likely to frequent. The library, the shops, your character's workplace, the seaside - you name it, there's probably someone who passes through there!
2) Check out your fellow Pumpkin Hollowite's posts, and see where they pass through. If you feel like you'd pass by there, drop a reply on there detailing how they very briefly cross paths! Are the feelings positive, like someone who you don't know, but would miss if they disappeared? Is it negative, like that one guy who keeps shoulder-checking you at work? Maybe it's as neutral as it gets. The world is your oyster!
3) Profit. You and your fellow islanders have developed a relationship, even if extremely surface-level! Now you can go into prompts with a vague familiarity and a distinct lack of that "I've never seen this person in my life" awkwardness.
Now go get some lovely new acquaintances, and have fun!

QUESTIONS/COMMENTS/CONCERNS
Angel
2. If you're around Eddie's farm? Angel.
3. Currently on a lavish food budget for November, and like. Eat with him sometime. Suggest fun food combos. Watch him dip garlic bread in chocolate pudding.
4. Still volunteers with the fire brigade. Have you been on fire lately? Has a place you care about?

Chris has had no personal fires, but I bet they've sometimes worked alongside Angel when other people have gotten hurt in fires. Chris doesn't enjoy the circumstances that bring them together, but working with Angel is a bright spot in such situations.

Cecil Gerswhin Palmer
2. Shyly discovering the joys of the library! Still very much on a hair trigger while in that building.
3. Recently, has been searching for an appropriate place for River to build a pizza oven. Do you have land on which a pizza oven can be built?

Pomni
2. Thinking about trying to poke into the Temple, but she hasn't gotten the nerve up yet. Right now, she just... stands across the church yard and stares for a while, before scurrying off.
3. A new wolfy buddy has her occasionally around the edge of the woods. Sometimes she picks flowers for a little glass bottle she's been using as a vase in her room. If you forage, you might run into her!
4. Re: her room, she's in the Oak and Iron! Maybe a roommate's seen her during her ins-and-outs.
5. She is, admittedly, kind of nosy. If she sees someone working outside on something, she might linger. You been getting up to any projects? Work outside in general? There's a solid chance she'll look at you briefly with her big ol' eyes.

Chris and Pomni meeting up when they have to bandage her hand at the start of shore leave?

Chris Freeman
2. Or maybe you like to go to the entertainment venues in the evening? If they play music you can dance to, Chris just might be there having fun.
3. There is a possibility, particularly on their days off, that Chris could be wandering around outside of town while accompanied by Rowan the Phantump. The fact that both beings can be seen with glowing red eyes sure is odd! Dare you ask?

"Slasher Face" Jean
2. Jean gets their coffee at the Oak & Iron every morning they're not on the ship. Every. Single. Morning.
3. This!
4. Jean can often be found at the Library, doing research. They take extensive notes, including drawings.
5. Last but not least, Jean tries to catch Grace Holloway performing whenever budget permits.
5
Chris asks after Jean's pretty friend the first time, meaning Mort... and likely gets responses about Zelda and Mort both, yeah?

Sam Porter
2. Have you received a parcel in the last two months? You've at least seen Sam put them on your porch/in your mailbox/handed it to you at home.
3. Do you go out into Lockwood Forest? You've probably spotted Sam carting heavy loads of building materials, tools, supplies that would allow him to refurbish one of the abandoned cabins out there. You may have also seen him stop and take a nap on the ground by a tree.
4. Sam does sometimes take a day off! When that happens, he usually ends up at the Beach. When it's warm out, he sits with his shirt off, or with the simple starter shirt on with its sleeves ripped off. Sun's out guns out.
5. In almost all instances, you will see an infant with him. He will have introduced her as Lou. This baby has a ridiculous amount of personality for a kid that's only officially like four-ish months old.
6. DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL ORDER or perhaps just messages for your friendly neighborhood
packmulemailman? He will be setting himself up a proper inbox soon but for now, he checks the bulletin board every morning.Bart Torgal
2. The library! While he favors in vivo research and information gathering, not everything can be gleaned just from living day to day here. He's got an ever growing list of things to find in the library, and will regularly be checking out as many as they will allow him to. A lot of them will end up in his room at the Oak & Iron. All of them will have neat little linen bookmarks bristling from between the pages.
3. The Forest! That in vivo research happens a lot out here. His notebook isn't exactly the nicest, it barely counts as a notebook given how many loose pages he's stuffed into it to supplement the amount of pages it originally came with. He can generally be found taking extensive notes and drawing intricate diagrams.
4. The Clinic(s)! While he was more or less given the all good by First Aid after his initial worry of bringing an offworld infection to Pumpkin Hollow, Bart is still going to be in and out at the Clinic for the occasional checkup to make sure that he's not taxing his reduced lung capacity enough to hurt himself. He will also be there providing a helping hand when necessary. Hope you like your nurses chatty.

2. The distillery. First Aid makes a brief trip out there every morning to refuel on filtered ethanol. He doesn't have a mouth, so he has to siphon the fuel through an intake normally covered by a panel on his side. It looks exactly like a car refueling.
3. The library. There were so many books back home that this nerd wasn't able to read, because they were too small and hadn't been digitized. He's making up for lost time now.
4. Eddie's farm! On First Aid's rare (Chris Freeman-enforced) days off he can often be found out at Eddie Kaspbrak's farm, visiting and seeing how the greenhouse is coming along. They're going to try and grow penicillin, it's very exciting!

Eddie Kaspbrak
And now I realize that it's Eddie -- he just stays on his farm most days and does his (decidedly less weird) own things.
1. Eddie is pretty much always on his farm. He used some of First Aid's investment to make sure the greenhouse is larger than normal. The general upgrade allowed him to hire two part-time farmhands to assist in the non-specialized farming (and sometimes the milking of Greta Goat, since it will be a cold day in hell before Angel gets to do that). (I feel like Eddie initially intended her name to just be "Greta" but she's become Greta Goat.) Despite all the busy bustle on E. Kaspbrak Farm, all friends are welcome to visit!
2. Eddie still has lessons with River on the Green, so if you feel like watching him slowly getting his ass kicked less and less...
3. Library buddies? Eddie does a lot of reading on farming techniques (because duh) but he's also finding the fictional offerings of this new world entertaining. Feel like discussing books with him?
4. Someone may be eyeing the pennyfarthing bicycles on offer for the express purpose of figuring out a way to convert this fore-wheel driven thing into a rear-wheel driven bicycle as he's more familiar with...

Lord Erik Osborne
1. Erik is a night owl so you probably won't see him up or around until 10 am unless there's something happening. Most mornings assume he's snoozing in his home (in his ugly pink pajamas that he still hasn't replaced.)
2. When not engaged with a current client in his home, you can find him going about town trying to drum up business for himself. He has better than human hearing/sight/smell so sometimes he'll just walk around taking in everything and seeing if he catches any useful bits of gossip. (If you ever want him to overhear something, toss me that link. I usually will ask before I have him just KNOW something unless the event was somewhere very public.)
3. He pops into the Oak & Iron at lunch and dinner rush times to see if anyone is around for a chat or more. And he tends to spend evenings in the pub or other entertainment establishments trawling for clients as well.
4. Surprisingly, he does attend sermons at the temple on a regular basis, but he never eats at the meals. He always stays for a word with Degas if he can.
5. Late at night if he's free, he can be found in the woods or on the edge of it, and sometimes in the cemetery. If asked why, he'll say he's just enjoying the night air. He never seems too concerned with being attacked.
6. He has certain homes he frequents often enough to be routine, River's, Lucas's, and Chris's too, probably.
