Dedue is a huge stone-faced medieval man who used to serve as vassal to Prince Dimitri of Faerghus. Dedue himself is a survivor of a genocide committed by Faerghus against his homeland Duscur, and Dedue had to learn how to repress a lot of emotions very fast in order to survive in the Faerghan capital while serving Dimitri. Then, taken away from the intense political intrigue of Fire Emblem and isekai’d onto the Serena Eterna, he has started to unlearn a lot of that repression and actually work through some of his trauma. This has been an ongoing process for him. He and Dimitri have also been working towards having a healthier (now romantic) relationship.

He is still trying to figure out what he’s doing in Pumpkin Hollow. However, he was inspired by Claude’s birthday feast and is trying to raise funds for a cultural center that preserves knowledge about different cultures represented in Pumpkin Hollow and would also have an attached restaurant. He’s looking for a regular job in the meantime but nothing has been decided yet. Dedue loves cooking, sewing, and gardening. He’s also experienced with weapons and armor.
