Benevolent Metagaming for Metaplot Meme
Hey, all! I saw some people talking on Discord about wanting to get in on plot, and like. Discord is great for immediate 1-on-1 plotting, but given the plot cookies I and my characters are holding, I wanted to put something on-comm to offer up 'if you want to get into X plot, you can talk to Y character about Z'. So here's how I picture this working:
1. Make a post. Either put all your characters in one post, or give them individual posts.
2. List the plots you've got plot cookies for that you'd like to share. Even if you don't know the specific name or nature of the plot, give some description so people know what threads they're tugging on, particularly if there's things they want to avoid.
3. Give ways to get those plot cookies.
For example:
Angel
Necronomicon Plot: discuss the recent earthquake with him, or talk to him about his demolition of a demon at Merrymeet and ask if he's done that before.
This is definitely not obligatory, I just wanted to be sure everyone who wants in on the plot train can get in on it!

Necronomicon Plot: discuss the recent earthquake with him, or talk to him about his demolition of a demon at Merrymeet and ask if he's done that before. This plot ties into the death of Linette Brenning and the red-robed cultists.
Bad Shit In The Woods: Angel will gladly tell people he doesn't like the cabins in the woods. Perhaps you should ask him why ICly.
Goddesses and the Barrier Curse: Ask Angel about priesting or his experiences with Mortanne. Or be loudly wrong about 'what we're doing here' around him, because Mortanne gave him more explicit marching orders than most.
Annabel Lee
Neil's Theory: Annabel Lee is privvy to Neil's thoughts on the Leeds family, and would discuss it with confidantes.
Goddesses and Demons: While not as deeply embroiled in this as some characters, Annabel does have some interaction with both Mortanne and Ephrain that might be worth talking about. If you bring up Mendel's Carnival, she might talk about the latter.
Cecil
Goddess Boons: Cecil's sweet potato sure has been useful. And his recent use of The Weather didn't look like it did when it arrived.
NPC History: Guess who's heard one version of the Elias/Neil divorce story? Among other tidbits from Elias, tbh.
The Barrier Curse: There's something to be chewed on here about bottles and Calloway and permeable membranes and it might be worth discussing IC. But be braced for Loud Cecil Opinions.
Cerrit
The Leeds Family/Aster: Alright, this is trickier, as Cerrit cannot communicate information about the Leeds family that someone doesn't already know. But he can talk a lot about Aster, having been at the dinner party.
Merrymeet Demons: Cerrit saw through the demon problem right away, and can help elucidate for those confused about weird behavior. But also, he has speculations about their presence at the event at all.

Cannibal Feast: César was there and met Aster. Turned his boon down because he's a gamer nerd. Ask him what rabbit person tastes like? Or if he's met a demon. Also, he thinks Aster maybe knew more than he should.
Merrymeet Demons: He's going to get to talk to some demons. One of the demons is going to know WAY more than he should. He will be able to share this information later.

The Ocularum: Jon's more or less an Ocularum devotee, now, and will openly vouch for the group if prompted. He's also privy to some of the rumors from the grapevine that comes with being so close to the leader.
The Well: During Mourner's Night, Jon investigated the well in Fall's Promise Cemetery with Ianto Jones, and found some runes inscribed onto the stone. He hasn't yet had the opportunity to research what exactly they mean, or try to piece together who put them there, or for what reason.
Pomni:
Cursebreaking: From personal experience, after being freed from her Digital Jester's Clothes, she knows that Jean, from having received a boon from Kora, has some capacity to break curses. How deep that capacity goes is yet to be seen, but she has a thought that, maybe, to some degree, other boons can do the same.
Elias Coldwood: (Note: obviously can't put Too Much for NPC reasons, so I'm focusing on recent things!)
Magic Studies: Though still uncertain about how well he'll be able to do it, Elias specializes in a couple schools of magic, and is making an effort to teach newcomers to town wherever he can. While he does Astral and Chaos specifically, it's an open secret that he does blood magic. (He disagrees about attributing this to Eldritch magic, of course - why should it be a different kind of magic if he's just using his own blood for magic fuel?)
If you're looking for magic teaching that isn't quite so off-the-cuff, more formal, and perhaps less prone to explosions and varying damage to self or others, Neil has also offered to teach a few magical talents to some newcomers.
Demonology: While only briefly, he spoke to Aster as though they'd spoken before. If anyone witnessed this while going into the cannibalistic dinner, it may be worth digging into!
Upcoming Expedition: Elias is calling for participants to join him on a study of Lockwood Forest! The time is coming up very soon, as the expedition will begin on the 3rd of March. The sign-up call can be found here! Last call for sign-ups is end-of-day on the 1st.

Oh fucking boy, Tara. People stalking his threads at Merrymeet know that he has made a deal with Eligos to produce his heart's desire: a healthy child of his own flesh and blood. The fact that the child will also be a tiefling is barely a blip on his radar.
To achieve this, he must commit a series of minor betrayals against the people he considers part of his inner circle, either stealing something precious to them or convincing them of a painful lie. This is an opt-in only plot! While some backsplash is probably inevitable due to the nature of relationships in this game, I won't be directly betraying a player character without explicit permission from their player. And I'm still accepting sign-ups! So please let me know if you'd like to participate <3
