[January Meme] Late-Night Caller

In Pumpkin Hollow, communication is vital, and most homes are outfitted with a telephone provided by the town hall. Even in the Oak & Iron, a phone is public-use, and any barkeeps working at the time will gladly flag their residents down who receive a call.

An important tool will always have its occasional drawbacks, however. One such drawback being that, whether you're trying to get some much-needed sleep, lurking around with a bout of insomnia, or simply having a late evening to yourself, the ringing bell of your telephone calls for your attention. The other end of the line could be anyone: a friend, a stranger, a business partner, maybe even the Pine Devil. (It's probably not the Pine Devil.)

What could they possibly want at this hour? Is it important, or completely ridiculous? Are they drunk, lonely, or just bored? Are they in trouble, and you were the first person they could think to call? There's only one way to find out!

     Rules:
  • Drop a TL with your character answering their phone, and if you have any preferences, leave that in an OOC note!
  • Send out some calls! They can truly be about anything at all.
  • Communicate if you want this to be a canon interaction or just goofin' between your characters at any point, just to stay clear about any CR gains or losses from the calls/following incidents.
  • Feel free to thread out any following events from the calls!
  • Have fun! :]

At the Oak & Iron, Magne is ready to turn in for the night after a long day of checking in with the people that were sheltering there after the earthquake made it necessary for parts of their homes to be rebuilt or repaired. Her tone is somewhat snappish when she picks up, while shooing off the equally harried barkeep on staff for that day.

"You've reached the Oak, are you looking for someone?"
