But there's a lot of locations with reputations for being haunted that just... don't hold up to scrutiny once you're in there doing a real investigation. Phenomena that you can explain away with weird quirks of the building, or stories based on history that there's just no evidence ever happened, and the occasional outright deception from people trying to get money or attention."

Of course people in the academic side of the field often accuse her side of faking things in general, but fuck them, she knows the difference. Especially these days.
