With anyone else's prods at her insistence to continue to Hunt, it'd been so easy for Basira to tell them to drop it, to shove back at it, to insist that it's the right thing. Maybe it's with how much of hell and back that she and Melanie had seen together, with frustration and terror padded by long hours of talking at great lengths about anything that would come to mind, but she can't manage it.
