As for relationships... there are the optics to consider. Even other little people are given pause by just how much Mary resembles a standard child. In any case, she knows the deck is stacked against her and proceeds with caution.
She smiles at Gerard's offer.
"That's kind, but I've gotten to the point where if I slow down, my body might decide 'oh, time to lock up the knees' and stop entirely. I'm still mobile if I stay standing. But... after I get some rest..." Mary gives a casual shrug. "If you want to continue this conversation, I'll be at the Oak and Iron all evening. You might even prevail on me to sing for the tavern."
