Eddie doesn't talk much either as they finish up digging the post-holes. He's already done the 'open mouth, insert foot' once and doesn't want to risk it again.

"I've got concrete to mix up in small batches. I'll pour it into each of the holes we've dug, and you can place the posts."

It'll take a little trial and error, but Eddie eventually figures out the right amount to pour in so that each fence post displaces enough so the concrete rises to ground level and sets the post firmly without overflowing.
