"Tayrey," she repeats, and abruptly her own eyes well up and she takes a single step forward to throw her arms around the younger woman in a tight, shaking hug.

"You're alive, you're here -- did you come here straight from the Serena? You vanished, I thought -- I was sure you were gone for good --"

And then she pulls back to stare into Tayrey's face in sudden intensity. "Tayrey, I went home. It was never true, none of it, I went home after -- I've been there over a year, and I remembered all of it. All of you. You were right, we were right, it was never hopeless."
