Dahlia shook her head and laughed, seemingly unfazed by his mild awkwardness. If she thought he seemed unsure of himself, she didn't point it out. "Aren't you charming?"
She circled around behind the front desk, rummaging through some papers. "Let's see. I don't suppose you'll need meal vouchers, since I imagine you don't really eat. But I do have a voucher for your stay at the Oak & Iron. Town hall will cover that for you while you get sorted. And you'll be getting a stipend, of course. You can cash that at the bank across the street. It's not a lot, but it will get you anything you might need." She handed him a few slips of paper, which appeared to have been printed on an old fashioned printing press.
"You're welcome to stay at the tavern for as long as you need, but if you'd like your own place and a bigger income, town hall is also giving out start-up packages for people willing to work. Is that something you're interested in?"
