Ruby's face scrunches. "That... sounds horrible. They really think that'll— that's meant to help when someone's struggling with something?"

Not that Remnant's much better. In many ways it's worse. Ruby just doesn't know the intricacies of what scattered, inadequate systems do exist. They're distant. Expensive. Inaccessible. Whatever the equivalent of a psych ward is on Remnant... well, it's probably not good, but it's also relatively unheard of. Just not for any good reasons.

On Remnant, you handle it yourself. One way or another. More than once in recent days Ruby has found herself wondering how many huntsmen who disappear really died in battle. Or how many went into their final fight with no intention of making it out the other side.

Maybe if it hadn't been the tea, it would've been something else.
