So he sits with the chicks. The blanket cools down quickly enough and it's a bit of a pain getting a new one, but if this is what his job is then Goddamnit he's doing it.

One of the nest times Eddie goes past, one of the chicks is out of the blanket, all puffed up, and is attempting valiantly to kick Darcy's held-out hand while Darcy makes sound effects in mockery with each kick.

"I think this one has an attitude," Darcy calls.
