"Peaceful by comparison," Number 6 amends. "If you knew what the place we came from before was like." Peaceful or not, it will be a real life here, where things can grow and change. Where everything they have doesn't have to be paid for in misery unending.

He blinks in surprise at the Litwick. He's seen so many strange things but this ghostly creature is still very new and different.
