It is quiet, very early in the morning, when a blonde man arrives on the marina. He is riddled with scars, most of them small, but some of them less so, and stands with a stiff posture.
The first thing he does is find a gnarled bit of driftwood, carved smooth by sea and sand, to use as a walking stick. Then it's off to meet with Yorick.
Ahead lies new world. A new life. And maybe, finally, freedom.
-Toy Drive-
Anders sits quietly by himself at a crafting area, sewing with impressive skill and precision. He spends the day making little dolls, and at this point has completed several of them. His current project is a little stuffed Qunari, having made it a good balance of fierce and adorable. He's using a dowel rod to stuff the horns tightly so that they're firm. If you need any help with yours, or want to ask him about his, he'll talk to you. Otherwise he keeps to himself.
-Hot Springs-
I. Train From context clues Anders is able to pick up where to find Northwest Station, as outlined in the newspaper. (There's no way he's risking dealing with whatever the hell Lake Sal-Co-Penn is.) But he has no idea what he's waiting for. So when an enormous iron beast rolls up, blowing smoke and making noise, Anders jumps back with his back to the wall of the ticket station.
"What on the Maker's green fucking earth is that?!"
II. Water Once the train ordeal is handled, it's smooth sailing to get to the actual hot spring itself. It's clear from the slight limp he walks with that the end of Anders' life wasn't particularly kind to him, so the relief on his face as he sinks into the hot water is palpable.
Whether he's joining you or you're joining him, he smiles politely, a bit awkward. He almost looks like he's been caught doing something wrong. He clears his throat. "Morning." It's a start.
-Looking for Group-
Something about Paradesium radiates magic. It's incredible--- the cave just breathes nature and magic and life from it like the yawn of an old god. But it's also very clearly dangerous, and until or unless his body starts being a little kinder to him, it's not really safe to go alone. To be frank, it probably wouldn't be anyway. He's a healer, not a warrior. So he posts on the bulletin board.
Disabled mage looking seeking combat-ready partner(s) for an expedition into Paradesium to look for magical ingredients. Healing and ranged support provided. Interested parties should ask for Anders at the Oak & Iron.
-Wildcard- [ Hit me with whatever! I play Anders as coming from a canon point mid-Inquisition (hence why he's so worse for wear) and am vague about his romance status re: Hawke, at least for now. ]
