"I know," he says, reading her so thoroughly it's as if he can hear her thoughts. "I'll speak to anyone we encounter on our way in. You can remain invisible."

He sighs contentedly at her touch. Those wings have looked better, but he's sure now that she is beside him she'll be able to sort him out.

"We'll sleep in until ten at least," he agrees. "I'm in no hurry to leave your side."
