"Right? When I showed up here I hadn't had a decent meal in days." Unless you count the raw lake bass he ate in a fit of desperation, but you probably shouldn't. Gesturing in the direction of the Oak and Iron, he continues, "Come on, we'll get you taken care of. There's an inn where the food's free for people who, uh, came by the ferry, but if any of the restaurants along the way catch your eye let me know. I'll treat you."
The unspoken implication being that the inn food is a little spare right now. Not for any lack of trying on the staff's part, from what he can tell, but a famine's a famine. The other establishments seem to be scraping by a little better, though, and Leon figures by the look of this guy he might deserve something heartier for his troubles.
