Laios is clearly surprised, judging by the little stagger upon impact, but instinct on having a person suddenly in his arms, he catches her easily.

It takes a split second for him to process well enough to kiss back, but as soon as he's got his bearings, he wastes little time doing so. He's a little clumsy, but he's following her initial movement as an example, with makes up for his clumsiness with absolutely boundless enthusiasm and a close embrace.

Talk about one hell of a first kiss, huh?
