"Well, I'm happy to help." John assures her--once he's done laughing again at the pair of her apprentices with their praise of the Almighty Nails. To that end, he narrows his eyes at them jokingly.

"Just don't expect me to make any offerings at the altar." he jokes before turning back to River as his smile softens, pleased and hopeful.

"And I do wanna help. You'll tell me if I'm gettin' in your way or anything? I don't wanna take up your time if you think taking me on would hold you up at all."
