"You can serve your own interests and those of others at the same time," Chris points out, stepping back from the hug to regard her seriously. "You could have escaped the mine on your own, much quicker and without damage to yourself. You could have just killed César and not warned First Aid about the danger he might pose. And maybe all that was selfishly motivated, too... but others still benefited from the way you chose to defend yourself."

Chris shrugs, and heads over to the door. The winding is done now, and the pair ought to vacate the room eventually.

"Maybe for some it will shatter. But those who have such a rigid, brittle view of other people... I try not to be one of them."
