As Mairi is headed back into town to thaw her frozen hair, having spent the day foraging and hunting and fishing in the river, she stops as the sight of a person comes into view.

Well, not a person in the traditional sense. They seem to be some sort of... arcane construct? But they're person enough for Mairi. And they seem hypnotized as they stumble, eyes skyward, through the snowy night.
