Chris takes hold of César by the elbow (there's a reason they won't touch his hand in this situation; it may come up later) and guides him over to the seat behind the reception desk. Perhaps because of Chris's perception that César should be able to sit, he will do so, and not fall through the chair.

Chris remains standing. "Vika has... a traumatic past. And a lot of anger toward creators that were incredibly cruel to her. She's not exactly the standard when it comes to patience." (Nor should she be, but that part remains unsaid.) "I'm sure that you'll find a place here. We need all the help we can get."

Pause.

"My name is Chris Freeman, and I'm the medical assistant here at the Winterbottom Clinic. What's your name?"
