Given where Chris was living before coming to Marrow Isle, and their association with Jean -- both for the levy, and because Jean goes to Winterbottom Clinic for checkups -- the display of lots of teeth doesn't disturb them quite as much as it might for the usual human.

"Good to meet you, Taran," Chris says, parsing the Tarantulas name more like 'Taran Tiulas' and picking what they heard as the first name in return. "Would you like to sit and chat for a while? The music doesn't get good for dancing until a little after the dinner hour."
