Mary directs her own glare at the person, but her expression softens when she sees Kavinsky offering her a hand up. She takes it, still careful not to let the epsom salt spill from the jar.

"Dumb, panic-striken animals," Mary agrees. "And you haven't been an asshole to me, so that puts you on a short list of decent folks in my eyes."

She does end up sticking closer to Kavinsky after that, walking just behind him as they keep searching for Dr. Neil West in the house. There's shouting coming from the library... it sounds likes an argument, rather than plain fear. Maybe someone already found Dr. West!
