Mary smiles back, briefly, though the sounds of people yelling and panicking do chase the expression away.

"Preachin' to the choir here," Mary says. "Most people are shit, but for now we gotta bank on the doctor being an educated shit. Doctors usually are."

There's a wealth of experience hinted at in the resentment dripping from that last sentence, but Mary won't go into it if you don't.

Another seance attendee comes running down the hall in the opposite direction, and basically shoves past Mary and Kavinsky. Mary falls backward, more focused on keeping the lid on the jar than catching herself.

"Ow! Damn-- case in point!" Mary yells after the fleeing person, "Asshole!"
