Right, the curse. He hadn't been thinking about that in conjunction with the ghosts. He wasn't sure if there was any actual connection but now also didn't feel like a good time to give it too much thought. Especially not when the ghost was now flinging people around.
Some people hesitated in tense situations, some people ran away and abandoned others, no matter how good of friends they were. Kavinsky? He didn't even give it a second thought before diving under where Mary was falling to catch her. He might have ended up on the floor himself, but he also did his best to shield her from the impact with his body.
"I feel like that was my fault," he wheezed. "You okay?"
He wasn't even on his feet again before he added, "I also feel like these ghosts are a bunch of fucking cowards, spineless bitches."
Apparently, the ghost was also accepting challenges. The next moment, it looked like the ghost slapped him--except a series of scratches appeared on his face, just deep enough to bleed. He blinked. Then blinked again. Reaching up, he touched the scratches- then started laughing. He...might not have the best self-preservation instincts.
