Chris is not that much shorter than Cerrit, but they're a skinny little twerp when it comes to build -- and if Cerrit blunders into them at some point, it's to the ground for Chris.

The "Son of a bitch!" that pops out of Chris's mouth is directed at the situation, and not specifically at the giant bird-person, but misunderstandings can, of course, occur on that point.
