It's an oddly fascinating experience to watch Chris with their powers at work. He's not at all familiar with this creature they've come upon, but it doesn't seem immediately dangerous. Then again, Erik is sure he doesn't seem immediately dangerous, either.

He reaches to gently wipe those tears from Chris's cheek, glancing between them and the weeping creature that doesn't seem to take any notice of them.

"Chris, what did you sense?"
