'Shut-in' isn't wrong, per se, but the supposed Baron's odd behavior since his return feels deeper than that. Siebren is happy to carry on a conversation, and assists with chores when asked, but the creative impulse that once drove her companion to construct a telescope from scratch has evaporated. Drelasa returns from the smithy to find Siebren waiting where she left him with no concern for the intervening hours. He fiddles with the chimes and scratches at the walls, humming under his breath until she or one of the pokemon breaks his trance. He isn't sleepwalking--Drelasa would certainly have noticed that, given her acute senses--but he doesn't seem entirely present either.
