Valdis tips her head and frowns, but doesn't comment on the supposed quote.

"Anani is a menace to society and does whatever he wants, but he usually has a reason for what he does, even if I can't always figure it out."

She glances at the cat, who is now curled up on the couch, and then back to Vickie.

"You can sit down, you know, if I were going to murder you, where you stand isn't going to make a difference, might as well get comfortable."

There's a teasing edge to her tone, but Vickie probably remembers just how deadly she is considering where they met.
