He picks at his own piece of bread into smaller bits while he speaks, an idle motion.

"There's time for that. Let it come slowly. If you know that a way of living is a difficult thing to find, and that it's even harder to make, don't worry if it takes a long time. In this regard I'm lucky that I know I'm priest. But if I were you, I would be content to drift from one thing to the other and simply see what catches my eye."

He takes a bite of his bread, pausing for a moment. "One very lovely thing about this place is that everyone has a base payment, so that even those with no employment can still get by. I... well. I don't think I'm going to try and go home after everything. It's been a long time, and it would be wise for me to stay where I do not have to work to eat."
